In accordance with Board Policy 2313/3013/4013 and the 21st Century Act (Public Law No: 110:385, Oct. 10, 2008) all students will be trained annually in Internet safety. Teachers must monitor students when using the computers for Internet research and other instructional WEB Sites. The WCPSS “Acceptable Use Policy” states that students are monitored by teachers when using the Internet at school.
Please take time before instruction, to review WEB Sites you plan to have students visit. It is helpful to have WEB sites LINKED from the grade level or your teacher WEB site (I can help you with this). Media Services advocates that elementary students search through NCWiseOwl.
It is important for our students to learn good CyberSense, to recognize and navigate away from inappropriate sites, and behave properly when doing so.
Student Login = Student ID Number / No Identifying information allowed on any WEB based programs (see Matrix)

WCPSS Mobile Device Policies:
· Equipment Check-out Form (Form 1904) must be on file at school for any device taken from school. This includes iPads, laptops, digital cameras etc.
